Tow-Max’s leaf spring provides smooth functioning, with the pieces typically wear down over time being replaced. The spring’s ends are coiled perfectly into an eye into which a bush is inserted. The spring’s front is held in place by the spring, while the back of the spring is free to swing on shackle plates and shackle bolts wrapped around a rear hanger and pin.
When considering a multi-axle layout, eye-to-eye springs are the most typically employed spring. A load transfer is performed by joining the springs assembly when one axle carries a considerable weight, allowing the loads to be distributed more uniformly through the system.
